Re: Account of [your name]; Account Number ______________
Dear [Name of Collector] or "To Whom It May Concern":
I am writing this letter to request that you stop harassing me with your regular phone calls at my place of employment. I am not allowed to receive such personal calls at work and I could be fired or disciplined if you continue calling. Since I have asked that you stop calling me at work on at least five occasions and you refuse to stop calling, your telephone calls are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 805. I am once again demanding that you stop calling me at work. I am also demanding that you stop phoning me at home as well. If you need to contact me in the future, I insist that you do so by mail, as I am allowed to request that you do under Section 805(c) of the FDCPA.
If am well aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If you continue to violate the FDCPA, I know that I have the right to sue you for any damages that may result from your behavior.
I also intend to file online complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, at ConsumerFinance.gov, and with the Attorney General's Office in my state so that they will be made aware of your behavior.
Sincerely,
Your name
